An open invitation to airlines and hotels
Full disclosure: I don't lie awake thinking about your problems. What I actually think about is flying up front, whenever I want, without paying, and becoming a real traveler when I retire. So here's my offer. I'll pick a hard problem I think you have, work it from the outside with public information, and show my work right here, free for anyone to use. To be clear, I'm not looking for a job. If it turns out to be useful, I'd like the kind of status usually reserved for retired executives and very senior pilots. I've watched people fly standby for years and I'm openly jealous.
The plan for each one: pick a hard problem I think a big travel company has, work out what data it would take to solve, sketch a rough model, and propose a way in. Outside in, public information only, and shown in full here. If it's useful, take it. If it's really useful, you know what I'd like in return.
